Green your lab
Our Green Lab Certification program (GLC) empowers, encourages, and recognizes labs that are engaging in sustainable practices and is designed to be applicable for all lab types.
To become a certified green lab, complete the program’s self-assessment guide. By incorporating recommended practices from the GLC application, participating labs earn points based on their impact and implementation complexity. Labs can achieve one of four levels of certification based on points earned for each action.
Please note: Currently, Green Lab Certification is only available at Harvard's Longwood Campus.
Use the Green Lab Presentation to demonstrate and build support among your lab members, showing what sustainable practices can be adopted in a lab environment.
Share the Green Lab Orientation Guide as a one-page summary of Green Lab practices with new and existing lab members.
This survey is designed to help us to improve the certification process by identifying gaps in resources, challenges to implementation and innovative approaches to sustainability efforts.
