Mission Statement

The Council of Student Sustainability Leaders (CSSL) is a partnership between the Harvard Office for Sustainability and Harvard's undergraduate and graduate student community - especially those who are committed to action aimed at creating a more sustainable and equitable future.

CSSL provides an opportunity for Harvard students to work together with other students from across the University's 12 Schools on sustainability projects, to connect and network with sustainability leaders (including students, faculty, and administration), and to provide feedback and recommendations on Harvard's climate, health, equity, and sustainability initiatives. This year’s CSSL will work primarily on Harvard's second-generation Sustainability Plan, among other emerging campus priorities such as social equity and environmental justice.
