Radcliffe Institute Art, Activism, and Climate Change: Conversation with Angélique Kidjo and Vijay Iyer
Harvard Radcliffe Institute and the Mahindra Humanities Center at Harvard University present the second virtual program focusing on the intersection of art, activism, and climate change on Tuesday, January 24 at 4 pm ET. The program will feature the musician Angélique Kidjo in conversation with the composer and pianist Vijay Iyer.
Kidjo is a five-time Grammy Award winner with 16 albums to her name. Time called her “Africa’s premier diva” and named her one of the world’s 100 most influential people. Kidjo’s latest album, Mother Nature, is “a love letter to Mother Earth and all the values we hold dear: trust, truth, love, and connection.” The album is rooted in a deep understanding of musical tradition, while looking forward at the same time.
