HSDM The Secret Lives of Ancient Teeth: Development, Climate Change, and Human Evolution
The Harvard School of Dental Medicine presents the 2023 Donald B. Giddon Lecture in Behavioral Medicine and Dentistry with Tanya Smith, PhD. The event will take place on Tuesday, April 11 from 12 to 1:30 pm in REB Auditorium.
Dr. Tanya Smith is an Australian Research Council Future Fellow and a Professor in the Australian Research Centre for Human Evolution and the Griffith Centre for Social and Cultural Research at Griffith University (Queensland, Australia). She previously held a professorship at Harvard University and fellowships at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study and the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology. Smith's popular science book, The Tales Teeth Tell, was published by MIT Press in 2018.
The lectureship was made possible by the Dr. Donald B. Giddon Teaching fund to the Harvard School of Dental Medicine.
