HDS Reducing/Eliminating Plastic Waste at HKS

Join Harvard Divinity School for the seventh session in their waste talk series, featuring Emily Flynn Pequera from the Harvard Kennedy School!

RSVP for the Zoom Link

In 2019, HKS began investigating high-impact projects to reduce, substitute, or eliminate plastic waste entirely throughout campus life and operations. Working with the Campus Planning and Operations team, and a newly convened Working Group on Plastic Reduction comprised of students, staff, and faculty, the campus identified and developed 7 projects on campus that the community wanted to address. In this talk, Emily will share information on how the plastic reduction process was organized at HKS, lessons learned from the 10-month endeavor, the final 7 projects and their impact, and the future of plastic reduction efforts at HKS.
