Climate Change, Security, and Intelligence in the Anthropocene

Please join the Intelligence Project for a lunch seminar with Ms. Carol Dumaine, Co-Founder of Immanent Futures, Former Adjunct Professor, Energy Resources and Environment Program at Johns Hopkins SAIS,  Founding Director of Energy and Environmental Security Directorate at US Department of Energy, and career Senior Intelligence Analyst for the CIA.

In this talk, Ms. Dumaine will draw from her own experiences in government and academia, as well as from recent research and current events, to discuss how climate change is linked to concepts of security.  She will invite you to consider whether climate change fits into a traditional national security paradigm, as well as the barriers and needed responses for addressing an all-encompassing and existential challenge such as climate change.

Rolf Mowatt-Larssen will moderate. Lunch and admission will be provided on a first come, first serve basis.

Please RSVP here.
Only open to Harvard students, staff, fellows, faculty, and affiliates.
