Business (HBS)

Prior to pursuing my MBA at HBS, I worked in private equity at CCMP Capital and then at Infogroup, a portfolio company of that fund. While at CCMP, I spent a large portion of my time focused on energy and industrials, which led me to begin thinking about sustainability from an investment perspective to complement my passion for the space. In my free time, I love to travel, hike, bike, play soccer and just generally enjoy the great outdoors.

My Vision for a Sustainable Future:

There seems to be broadly-held view that sustainability, social responsibility and impact are synonymous with charity, particularly within later-stage investing. I respectfully disagree. I think that sustainability is about efficiency and foresight, and does not necessarily have to come at the expense of efficacy. While many have faced challenges in these markets, many have succeeded by investing in companies that address legitimate business needs, but happen to be environmentally responsible. My vision for a sustainable future keeps that in mind with cautious optimism.

Favorite Green Tip:

Look for the double bottom line! You can reduce costs by increasing your energy efficiency, turning off the water while you brush your teeth or the lights when you leave a room, wasting less food, and bringing a reusable water bottle around with you. There are so many little actions that each of us can take on a daily basis that we can collectively make a real difference.
