I am pursuing a Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Sustainability Studies. I am one of the Co-Presidents of the Harvard Extension Environmental Club. A liberal upbringing has led me to the decision to pursue a career related to sustainability and service, and to the practice of mindfulness. Specifically, I hope to use my degree to promote the industrialization of urban farming, which itself promotes social mobility, food security, sustainability, and nutrition. My interest in food developed from an early experience at a community garden in Houston, TX at the age of eight. When I decided to pursue a career related to agriculture, I remembered digging sweet potatoes with my mother and the neighbors at that garden. I hope to provide that wonder to as many people as possible.
