Rachel Martinez

Rachel joined the Office for Sustainability in March 2019. She is responsible for supporting the Managing Director and providing office administration and project management. Additionally, Rachel manages the Sustainable Office Program and Student Sustainability Grants Program. She works with the OFS student interns closely on anything from research to administrative projects.

Prior to OFS, Rachel worked as both an Arborist’s Assistant and Plant Health Care Specialist, doing on-the-ground tree and plant health care work. With a BS in Natural Resources Conservation from The University of Massachusetts Amherst, Rachel combined her passion for the environment and sustainability, and her administrative skills into this role.

Outside of the office, Rachel is a home chef and a foodie who loves taking trips, near or far, but especially to her husband’s home country, El Salvador. Rachel is a fluent Spanish speaker.
