I am a fourth-year PhD Candidate in Sociology at Harvard. My dissertation is a comparative study of veganism as a cultural practice in New York, Paris, and Tel Aviv. I am also President of the Harvard Vegan Society, and am enthusiastic about increasing awareness about the power of a plant-based diet for sustainability, health, and ethical well-being. Not surprisingly, I love to cook, but I am also an avid salsa dancer. Food is perhaps the most overlooked, and yet simplest, way of impacting your health, environment, as well as the lives of others. I believe that just by thinking twice about what you put on your plate, you can radically change the world.
