Christopher Nelson Gallegos

Design (GSD)

Chris joined Harvard's GSD in 2016 to pursue a Master of Architecture (grad. 2020). Prior to this he worked for NYC's Department of Environmental Protection as a Design Lead for 5 years, followed by a year working for the NYC Mayor's Office of Housing, Recovery and Operations, following Hurricane Sandy, helping homeowners reclaim their properties and implement safeguards against future storms. He is a LEED AP BD+C credentialed professional as well as an Envision Sustainability Professional (from Harvard's Zofnass Program). In NYC, Chris worked with Two Coves community garden in Queens planting crops and shopped / consulted with a local food coop in his Brooklyn neighborhood (Greene Hill Food Coop). He is an avid composter and aspiring gardener.
