I am a junior studying Environmental Engineering and I am currently working between the Office of Sustainability and Eliot House with two alumni to conserve winter-time energy with networked temperature and humidity sensors and a developing room-match model. Meanwhile, I love to play violin, write for Sense & Sustainability, dance, and am always down to implement Zero Waste protocol.
Inspired by my dad, I recently picked up and started reading a book called "How Not to Die" by Dr. Greger, who offers evidence-based insight on how food and nutrition impact human health. Already geared away from animal meat for environmental reasons, I have since felt better informed in making daily food decisions based on a whole-food plant-based approach. Since healthy eating is deeply connected to sustainable living, I see promising opportunity in ongoing efforts for campus food standards to achieve both sustainability and nutrition goals.
